The City Hotel Matyas***, in the Budapest downtown just a couple of minutes from the pedestrian quarter and beautiful Vaci Street with its array of fine shops, is the first member of the City Hotel Chain. We established the hotel above the famous historical Matthias Cellar restaurant.

Every Wednesday and Thursday the award-winner Children Ensemble's folk show entertains our guests in Matyas Pince Restaurant.

Our speciality is that the plentiful buffet breakfast is prepared in the world famous Matthias Cellar.

Room information

In its first year we had 25 rooms, but continually increasing guest numbers made it necessary to expand capacity, thus today guests will find 85 rooms at their disposal.
